Why locals love it
Il Ballo del Mattone is quite special as it's not only a restaurant but also a live music venue so you never quite know what to expect on a visit there. For example, on my first visit, we were entertained over our bowl of gnocchi and bottle of red wine by the Argentine equivalent of Artic Monkeys (luckily we were in the mood for it).
Why you should visit it
If you're looking for a tasty meal and somewhere lively to enjoy it then this place is where it's at. The graffiti-ed walls and memorabilia also add to the overall atmosphere. It's a perfect spot before a big night out and the staff are also really friendly.
Special tip
The gnocchi is delicious.
