You can walk right through this 12 metre-high metal representation of a girl’s head and ponder what she might be thinking about as she gazes at the scene downtown. It's located in an open plaza in front of one of The Bow, one of Calgary’s newest, shiniest and tallest office towers.
The artist was world-renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa who has also created large public art pieces in Chicago and New York. He said about the this sculpture: "I believe the architecture of our bodies is the palace for our dreams."
This art piece was commissioned and funded corporately by Encana, one Calgary's large oil & gas exploration companies.
