The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge

Why locals love it

Great for a free day out to see amazing art exhibitions from local talent as well as featured exhibits such as Quentin Blake's BFG Artwork. Historical too as there is a taxidermy branch from Old England as well as history of the museum which itself is an exhibit.

Why you should visit it

A great way to understand British artwork and past with some alternative exhibits as well as some brilliant modern work displayed. The Entry is free however the museum takes any donation given to keep the museum running and staff paid. Everyone there is very friendly and it is a common however underappreciated hotspot for culture in the city.

Special tip

There is a hall of leaflets in the museum which will give you a massive collection of activities and local events, highly suggest checking it out.
