The Casa Natal de Simon Bolivar is the restored colonial house in central Caracas where the liberator Simon Bolivar was born in 1783, now a museum devoted to his life. With period rooms, paintings and memorabilia, it offers an evocative window into eighteenth-century Caracas and the story of the man who shaped the independence of much of South America, in the heart of the historic centre.
