A trip to this temple is a great example of South Indian Hindu architecture, belief systems and everything that comes with it in the form of food, rituals and the traditional way of life of the local people. People must go here not just for faith and religion but also simply to understand the dynamics of the local culture.
There's a legendary juice shop called kalathi near the temple where the local favourite rose milk is sold for 20 rupees.
