Chicago Cultural Center

Chicago Cultural Center

Free to enter and grandly civic, this 1897 landmark in the Loop holds two stained-glass domes and rotating exhibitions of Chicago art.

Wander the marble staircases up to Preston Bradley Hall, take in the current shows, then sit in on one of the free concerts or lectures.

Local tip: Volunteer docents run free building tours Wednesday to Saturday at 1.15pm; arrive a few minutes early at the Washington Street desk.
