This half-day tour heads into the countryside south of Cluj to hike the spectacular Turda Gorge, a dramatic limestone canyon carved by the Hasdate River. A guide leads the way along the trail beneath towering cliffs, across footbridges and past caves, with rich birdlife and wildflowers along the route. Suitable for reasonably active walkers, it offers a refreshing dose of nature and some of the finest scenery in the region, and can be combined with a visit to the famous Turda salt mine nearby.
