The exhibitions are well-curated and the buildings that house them are so subtle that they seem to grow out of the landscape around them.

Why you should visit it
Louisiana isn't actually in Copenhagen, but is well worth the 45-minute S-train journey up the coast. And since there are so many other coastal attractions to be found along the way such as beaches, small fishing villages and fortifications, it makes for a great start to a day trip.
Special tip
When you've finished with the art, grab a drink from the café and laze around on the grass by the sea.
