Why locals love it
Elitch's is America's only amusement park located downtown, rather than in some blighted suburb. Over its 125 years of operation the park has amassed 53 rides and attractions which add a joyous character to Denver's skyline, not to mention being a hell of a lot of fun.
Why you should visit it
The park's 2015 season runs from May 2nd through November 1st. Nothing will bring you back to best moments of childhood faster than the heartstopping adrenaline rush of a 50 mph roller coaster in the heat of summer.
