As the oldest still operating bar in the city, this place has served some legendary clientele, most notably Neal Cassady and Jack Kerouac of the Beat Generation. If literary history isn't enough of a draw, they also serve up some of the best burgers around.
The menu is an eccentric mix of diner, taproom and lunchwagon fare, which complements the equally ecclectic mix of patrons- rustic elders, hard drinkers, happy families, grungy artists and enigmatic transplants. Between the beer, the burgers and the legacy there's something for everyone.
My Brother's Bar is NOT the same as Brothers Bar & Grill, a much less colorful chain on the nearby Market Street.
