The silhouette of Saivaara's bordering edge rises to 830 meters south of the Lake Porojärvi valley. The Saivaara is a unique erosion remnant in our country and the ancient hem of the Caledonid Mountains. Saivaara's roosts include the same ancient sea-bed rock types as Caledonid's margins.
Saivaara is the old holy fell of the Sami people. At the top of Saivaara is also a memorial plaque of our former president Urho Kekkonen.
