The Gallen-Kallela Museum occupies the striking castle-like studio home that the celebrated Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela designed and built for himself at Tarvaspaa, on the Espoo shoreline. Now a museum, it displays his paintings, drawings and personal belongings amid the atmospheric, romantic architecture he created, set in woodland by the sea.
