Brunelleschi Hotel

Brunelleschi Hotel

The Brunelleschi occupies a group of medieval buildings on a small square between the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, built around the Torre della Pagliazza, a circular tower of Byzantine origin and one of the oldest surviving structures in Florence. A small museum in the tower’s base displays Roman and medieval material recovered during construction work. Bedrooms mix contemporary furniture with Tuscan leather and velvet, and several upper suites face the cathedral dome across the rooftops. Dining ranges from the informal Osteria della Pagliazza to Santa Elisabetta, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant set inside the tower, with a cocktail bar on the same footprint. The address sits within the restricted-traffic zone, so vehicle access must be arranged through the hotel.
