It's tucked in one of the city center's most heavily trafficked areas, but the clientele is largely local. Operated by Naples transplants, La Loggia offers pretty generous portions for the prices. At lunch, the daily specials are scribbled haphazardly on paper menus and napkins—and the tempting sweet treats in the display cases never disappoint.
It's a stellar lunch stop if you're looking for a midway point between the Duomo/Piazza della Repubblica area and Santa Croce. Prices are low for the area: a piping-hot pasta plate or Tuscan soup like ribollita will set you back about 5 euro. Beyond lunch, you can kick off your day with a coffee or cool off with a spritz in the warmer months.
The outdoor seating makes it a lovely spot for a summertime cocktail "in centro." Prices may increase if you sit outside during peak hours.
