Why locals love it
The summers in Germany aren't usually very good (there are exceptions due to global warming though...) so we try to enjoy it while it lasts. At this beach bar the Frankfurter gets the summer holiday feeling he can't get at the Main river. Start of the season depends on the weather of course...
Why you should visit it
You'll get some barbecue, some cocktail, beer, ice cream or coffee. Entrance is free. It's a place to chill out and have 1 or 2 drinks after a biking tour or after work for the local people. Sometimes, you can watch the nearby polo players having a match.
Special tip
You can get there by walking along the river Nidda or by going by train to "Nied" (2 stations from main station with S Bahn)
