Why locals love it
The Weseler Werft connects the Main and the newly built residential quarter in Ostend. Two harbour cranes characterise this area and remind visitors of its industrial past. In summer the "Sommerwerft" takes place here. There are free theatre performances and music concerts, as well as other cultural events.
Why you should visit it
If you catch the right weather, you will meet numerous people on the banks of the Main. It's very close to the ECB building and a nice stop when you take a stroll along the main river to the city. The cranes and waggons makes the place perfect for interesting photoshootings.
Special tip
Visit the Oosten restaurant - but it can get extremely crowded when the weather is nice!
