Party Pier, known in Chinese as Pi Ti, is a riverside entertainment district in Guangzhou's Haizhu district, on the south bank of the Pearl River opposite the Canton Tower. The site began as the Pearl River Brewery, completed in 1985 and described as China's first pure draft-beer factory. Production moved to Nansha in 2016, and from December 2017 the roughly 69,000 square metre riverfront site was redeveloped into a beer and creative-arts precinct, keeping former coal stores, malt silos and boiler rooms as the backdrop for bars, restaurants and event spaces. A beer museum on site traces the brewery's history. Redevelopment has continued since, and the mix of tenants rotates, so individual venue names in older accounts may no longer apply. Visitors find riverside terraces, craft beer and cocktail bars, live music venues and restaurants, with views across to the Canton Tower after dark. There is no admission charge to the precinct. Pazhou station on metro line 8 is a walk of ten to fifteen minutes.
