Wilhelmsburger Inselpark is a large park located a bit further away from the city center of Hamburg. Despite the distance, it's definitely worth a visit! There are beautiful and colorful gardens, ponds and lots of activities for kids. There's also a possibility to go canoeing, use the skatepark and explore the various open-air attractions.
Inselpark is a great way to spend a warm summer day as the area is full of hidden gardens and places to just chill out. It's also a perfect place to have a picnic or just to crab a coffee from one of the cafes at the park. If you're up for it, rent a canoe and take a trip on the lake as well.
From time to time there are open air concerts taking place, which are quite popular with the locals.
