The Japanese Covered Bridge is Hoi Ans most iconic landmark, an elegant eighteenth-century roofed bridge with a small temple, built by the towns Japanese community and adorned with carved guardian animals. Spanning a narrow canal at the heart of the Ancient Town, it appears on Vietnams banknotes and is the emblematic image of Hoi An, beautifully atmospheric by day and glowing by night.
