Ono Seafood

A counter poke shop on Kapahulu Avenue, family-run since the mid-1990s and marking thirty years in 2026. The format is deliberately narrow: ahi or tako, dressed shoyu, spicy or with limu, sold by the pound or over rice, with a few sides. Everything is cut and mixed on the premises through the day, and the popular styles sell out well before closing. Seating amounts to a handful of stools and a bench outside, so most orders leave in a container; Kapiolani Park and the Diamond Head end of Waikiki beach are both a short walk or drive away. The shop shares its stretch of Kapahulu with Leonard's malasadas and Rainbow Drive-In, making the avenue a sensible circuit for anyone working through Honolulu's everyday food. Parking is a few spaces behind the building.
