In the Sami north, the traditional way to spend an evening is gathered inside a kota or lavvu, the conical tent of the Sami, around a crackling open fire. Many farms and operators around Inari host fireside evenings where guests warm themselves by the flames, sip hot berry juice or a local drink, grill sausages or salmon, and listen to stories and joik singing under the Arctic sky.
