Designed by architect Josef Stenbäck, Kemi Church was completed in 1902. It is a brick-structured, long church with two aisles. The building shows the effects of continental neo-Gothic. The church is painted in the original pink color. Open between from 24th of June to 9th of August.
The building reflects the influences of continental neo-Gothic. Gothic influences can also be seen in the church tower, small towers, windows and ends. Simple furniture and meager decoration, in turn, are related to traditional Finnish stone church construction. The stained glass windows on the altar are from 1986, painted by Lauri Ahlgren.
