The Ylläs 1 gondola climbs from the Ylläsjärvi base station to the top of Yllästunturi, the resort's main fell, giving non-skiers the same summit views as everyone on the pistes below.
It runs in both the winter ski season and over summer, when it's the easiest way up for hikers who'd rather ride up and walk down – or just take the views without the climb either way.
Local tip: Summer opening is more limited than winter, so check the current run times on the resort's own site before planning a trip up.
