Prometheus Cave, near Kutaisi at Kumistavi, is one of Georgias largest and most spectacular show caves, a vast system of illuminated chambers filled with stalactites, stalagmites and underground rivers. Ticketed walking routes lead through the dramatically lit halls, with an optional boat trip along an underground river. A cool retreat and a natural wonder, the cave is among the most popular attractions in the Imereti region and an easy excursion from the city.
