Andriivskyi Descent

Andriivskyi Descent historic cobbled street in Kyiv

Podil  •  $

Often called the Montmartre of Kyiv, Andriivskyi Descent is a steep, curving cobbled street linking the upper town to Podil, lined with galleries, craft stalls, tiny museums and the baroque Saint Andrews Church at its crown. Writer Mikhail Bulgakov lived here, and his house is now a museum. It is made for wandering. Start at the top by the church, browse the artists stalls on the way down, and wear comfortable shoes for the cobbles.
