Leipzig's Karl Heine channel is one of the most beautiful places to be. After having rented a canoe or a boat you can discover the western part of the city, there is no better place to enjoy the evening with a beer than the riverbank.

Why you should visit it
While the channel is quite crowded with (tourist/sightseeing) boats and canoes during the day, you usually share the riverbank with only some other beer/wine drinking, talking people in the evening.
Special tip
Possibly the best place to sit are the stone stairs, which you can find between Karl Heine Straße and Aurelienstraße.
