Cheap Belgian beers and students
Why locals love it
One of the greatest places to start your night in Leuven. The Belgian beers are quite cheap (most of them 3.50 euro, so it's easy to get hammered on strong beers). It is on the Oude markt, which is the most important drinking area in Leuven. The whole square is filled with pubs, bars and nightclubs.
Why you should visit it
If you've never tried Belgian beers, this is the place to start! Also it is really fun to watch people pass by and, depending on the time, getting more and more drunk. A lot of exchange students and expats also visit this place, so English is widely spoken and it is easy to speak with other foreigners or locals.
