A Vida Portuguesa is a beloved shop in Chiado celebrating traditional Portuguese-made goods, set in a former warehouse of the Viúva Lamego tile factory just off Rua Garrett. Its shelves are stocked with nostalgic national brands: hand-milled soaps, tinned sardines in vintage packaging, Claus Porto fragrances, ceramics, notebooks and woollen blankets. The lovingly curated selection makes it a favourite for authentic souvenirs, and the shop has done much to revive interest in heritage Portuguese products.
