A small tasca (very simple and typical restaurant), with four or five daily dishes at unbeatable prices. It’s a good place to go if you are visiting Alfama neighborhood. Very close to the Flea Market, Pantheon and the beautiful Rua dos Remédios. You’ll find it crowded if you arrive after mid-day, so don’t be late.

The walls, the tables, the TV set, the waiters, the clients… Everything is quiet simple and modest. So don’t expect any sign of luxury or perfection. The food is tasty and made by an old Portuguese woman, in her traditional way. Try Jaquinzinhos com Arroz de Tomate (fried fish with tomato rice) or Bifinhos com Cogumelos (fried pork with mushrooms).
Ask the waiter for the whole menu. It costs only 7€ per person and includes: olives, bred, main dish, drink, desert and coffee.
