Why locals love it
The “lisboetas” (Lisbon people) can walk again near the river at Ribeira das Naus, that goes from Cais do Sodré to Praça do Comércio. And since the bicycle is increasing its importance in Lisbon there is also a bicycle path.

Why you should visit it
Take a book, a hat, some sunscreen and sit down to catch some sun, see the river and if it’s Sunday you will probably see some kids in their small sailboats taking sail classes. You can also try to find a beach that was hidden since the 1755 earthquake.
Special tip
You can go from Praça do Comércio to Cais do Sodré and just before you arrive there, you have a kiosk with an esplanade.
