This square mile of Miami Beach holds one of the world’s largest concentrations of 1920s-40s Art Deco architecture, all pastel facades, porthole windows, and neon that comes alive after dark. Walk Ocean Drive at dusk when the hotels light up, then cut over to quieter Collins and Washington to see the details without the crowds. The Miami Design Preservation League runs the Welcome Center and self-guided and guided walking tours if you want the backstory.
