Calle Ocho is the beating heart of Miami’s Cuban-American community, where the smell of cafecito and cigars drifts down the sidewalk. Watch the regulars slam dominoes at Maximo Gomez Park, catch live music spilling out of the cafes, and grab a guava pastry or a ventanita coffee for a couple of dollars. It’s liveliest on the last Friday of each month during Viernes Culturales, when the galleries and streets fill up.
