Before ramen became trendy in the US, this was (and still is) where Los Angelenos went for delicious authentic tonkotsu style ramen. For many of us, waiting patiently outside on the sidewalk for a table at midnight here is a religious experience.

The music, atmosphere, and vibe has been described by Japanese ex-pats like stepping back into a classic ramen house in 1950s Japan.
In hot weather, order Tsukemen. It's essentially a bowl of ramen deconstructed where you dip cold noodles into the hot broth.
