This 6-kilometre long park along the Manzanares river used to be a busy motorway. It's popular with madrileños who like to rollerblade, run, cycle, walk or simply hang out with friends at its openair bars. Madrid's green lung features several impressive bridges over the river, flower beds, children's games and playgrounds.

This park is a green oasis in Madrid's concrete jungle. Get off at Principe Pío metro station and walk along the river until you get to Legazpi metro station. On your way you'll enjoy nice views of the Royal Palace. For the football fans: as you walk along the river you'll pass by the Calderón stadium, home to the Atlético de Madrid football club.
Its grassy meadows are ideal for a picnic or a sunbathing session.
