The golden Angel of Independence soars above a roundabout on Paseo de la Reforma and is the citys favourite gathering point, whether for football celebrations or quiet evening strolls. The column marks a century of independence and anchors the grand avenue. It is a landmark to orient yourself by rather than to enter. Come at golden hour when the statue catches the light, and walk Reforma towards Chapultepec afterwards.
