Cafe de Alma is a small family-run coffee house in Mostar's old town, on Rade Bitange, a narrow lane roughly twenty metres from the Old Bridge on its western bank and close to the Hammam Museum. It specialises in traditional Bosnian coffee, roasting, grinding and packing its own beans on the premises with the roasting equipment visible to customers. Coffee is prepared and served in the traditional copper dzezva with a piece of Turkish delight, and staff generally explain the preparation and the drinking ritual step by step, which is much of the point of visiting. The interior is small, with traditional fittings and cushioned seating, plus a few tables in the alley outside; seating is limited and fills quickly through the day. It closes on Mondays and opens Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 18:00. Prices are low by regional standards. The old town is pedestrianised and the cafe is reached on foot as part of a walk around the Old Bridge and Kujundziluk.
