Kaelum is the club that put 'tardeo' — Palma's beloved early-evening party — on the map, having pioneered the weekly session back in 2015. Right on the corner of Avinguda Argentina at the gateway to the buzzing Santa Catalina district, and only about five minutes' walk from the old town, it is where locals ease into a night out while it is still light.
Early on, the soundtrack leans into feel-good 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s hits for a nostalgic, millennial-friendly crowd; after midnight the music shifts to more current tracks and the energy climbs. There are two rooms with different moods plus a small rooftop terrace, and the surrounding streets are packed with bars and restaurants for before or after.
Local tip: It runs Wednesday to Sunday, with the longest hours on Saturday, and the tardeo sessions are the local's move — arrive in the early evening rather than the small hours. Make a night of the neighbourhood before you land at the club.
