La Mosquée de Paris is home to a beautiful mosque, a restaurant, a market, a hammam and a café, though this review is primarily about the café/tearoom. Its décor is amazing – copper-plated tables, mosaics, intricate ceilings, carved arches, oriental sofas and coloured geometrical shapes take you on a journey to exotic North Africa.
The main reason to visit this place is to soak up the atmosphere and admire the décor. They serve traditional North African pastries like gazelle horns, ma’amouls with dates and baklava. A pastry costs around $2.50, as does mint tea.
The charming patio is nice place to relax in summer.
