Le Moulin de la Vierge

7th arr. / Petits Pères

A storybook Paris boulangerie behind an iconic black-and-gold storefront, its listed Art Nouveau interior all mirrors, mouldings and painted ceramics. Owner Basile Kamir — a former music journalist — took it over in the 1970s to save the building from demolition, and still bakes everything in a wood-fired oven the old way. Come for the signature slow-fermented ‘Paresseuse’ baguette, farmhouse loaves and glossy pâtisserie. There are a handful of branches around the city.

While you’re in the city, pair it with a Le Marais food walking tour.
