Le Village Saint-Paul is a succession of narrow cobblestone streets and five small green courtyards. It’s home to many vintage, design and craft boutiques, along with antique shops, art galleries and cafés. It's incredibly cosy and charming – I'm sure the inhabitants don't feel as if they’re living in Paris.

This discreet area is nothing like the crowded Montmartre Village. On a sunny day, it’s the perfect place to daydream or read a book on a terrace. There’s also a flea market once a month – check the village’s Facebook page for upcoming dates.
On rue des Jardins Saint-Paul you can admire 60 metres of the historic former city wall and the remnants of a defensive tower.
