While I have nothing against the famous Ladurée macarons, when I first tasted Pierre Hermé macarons I immediately became addicted to this brand. Which brand is best is a hot topic amongst Parisians. I advise you to try both and then pick a side. I’d be very curious to know your opinion!

Why you should visit it
Come here for quality and to savour some unique flavours. Pierre Hermé makes original creations according to the season – in summer I'm a maniac for the vanilla and olive oil macarons, though the other pastries are also delightful. Seven macarons will set you back around €18, but your palate will be oh so grateful.
Special tip
To avoid the lines, head to Pierre Hermé on the lower ground floor of Galeries Lafayette. It’s not as crowded – people are too busy buying shoes!
