Pärnu Museum

Centre  •  $

The Pärnu Museum traces some 11,000 years of local history in a modern building on the bank of the Pärnu River. Its ticketed permanent exhibition leads visitors from Stone Age settlements through the medieval Hanseatic town and the golden age of the seaside spa to the twentieth century, using archaeological finds, artefacts and interactive displays. Well presented and engaging, it offers an excellent overview of the region’s past and a rewarding stop on a rainy afternoon.
