The gingerbread mansion on Avenue Christophe was Haiti's most famous hotel: Graham Greene's model for the Hotel Trianon in The Comedians, and for decades the home of RAM's Thursday-night vodou-rock sessions.
The building had stopped taking guests in 2024 as the Pacot district emptied, and it was destroyed by fire in July 2025. Nothing remains to visit.
Good to know: RAM's music survives the building; the band's recordings are the closest thing to the Thursday nights now.
