A short climb above town rewards you with a sweeping, free lookout over Four Mile Beach and the Coral Sea. It is the classic Port Douglas photograph, and never better than at first light.
Come for the big panorama over beach, town and reef-blue water, on foot or by car.
Local tip: Walk up early for sunrise or late for sunset, before or after the heat of the day.
