As Strahovsky continually gains more tourist attention, many locals have begun preferring Brevnov, though it too is starting to get popular. Located on the 22 tram line at the Brevnovsky Klaster stop, the monastery is a large complex in a park next to a lake. Locals come to drink and relax.
There's nothing like drinking in a 10th century monastery! This Benedictine cloister has the oldest tradition of brewing beer in the Czech Republic. They serve the class pils style, as well as more modern styles as IPA. They also have the typical meaty beer food common in the Czech Republic.
Though there is usually plenty of seating here, you can also bring a blanket to make it into a picnic.
