Hidden in the monumental building of Rudolfinum, home of the Czech Philharmonic, and accesible through its side entrance, this gallery might simply escape your notice. Which would be a real pity, especially if you are a contemporary fine arts lover. Launched in 1994 and focusing on both Czech and foreign production, it is an unmissable experience.
The gallery has no own permanent collections, therefore focuses on short exbhibitions only, and aims high. In the past few years it displayed, among others, works by both immortal icons such as Andy Warhol, and living worldwide-acknowledged artists such as Damien Hirst. Czech authors are frequent, too. There is also a cosy café in the building.
