A hugely popular pub in the centre of Prague, Lokal attracts people from all walks of life with its simple, quality Czech food and beer. Whether you love or hate the minimalist interior design, it's a great place to start the night with tank Pilsner and beer snacks. It also has the unusual honour of being the “longest pub in Prague.”
Why you should visit it
Good, non-touristy restaurants in this area are usually expensive. Lokal is an exception. The prices are low and (unusually for a Czech restaurant) standards are consistently high. Like all the restaurants in the Ambiente group, they source local produce and take good care of their Pilsner.
Special tip
This is a great place to try Czech beer snacks – especially the pickled Hermelín cheese and homemade sausages!
