Slavonic Island is one of the 13 islands of Prague. With the neo-Renaissance Žofín palace from 1837 it is the most significant one. Historically this was also the place of the first Slavic Congress from 1848 organized to unite the Slavonic nations of Europe.

But apart from its historical significance this is now first of all another oasis of calm where locals and tourists come to enjoy Prague riverside. You will also find there a few paddle boat rentals with affordable prices, which makes it an ideal place to visit during the summer.
