Mellat Park is one of Rasht’s main green spaces, built around walking paths, picnic lawns and playgrounds, and home to an aquarium holding around 680 species of Caspian Sea fish plus a small astronomy centre with its own library.

Local tip: Look for the swan-shaped pedal boats on the pond near the entrance if you are travelling with kids.
