Why locals love it
Friendly and knowledgeable staff and good selection. This is one of the largest book shops in Iceland (not really that big though), but the choices of English-language books are quite good. It has a nice coffeehouse on the top floor, which is a huge bonus for every bookshop.
Why you should visit it
It was considered by the Danish national daily newspaper Berlingske Tidende to be one of the top 12 bookshops in the world. We are not gonna argue with that, are we? It's positioned in the middle of Laugavegur and is a safe bet to find some souvenir to take back home.
Special tip
On the top floor is the English-language section and a cozy coffeehouse.
